
WHO IS MACSMITH DESIGN?
In addition to my free-lance design work, I am Director of Internet Services at Theatre Development Fund in New York City. I am responsible for the design and maintenance of "tdf.org" a ticketing and information website which provides e-commerce capabilities and member services features on-line for each of the programs at TDF.
Before moving my focus almost entirely to the internet, I was the the Art Director for Ticket and Travel Programs at TDF. A job which included all aspects of designing and arranging the direct mail marketing of theatre tickets and theatre related trips to Europe and South America. As a free-lancer I have completed hundreds of design projects- creating logos, brochures, cd covers and other collateral material for TDF and numerous free-lance clients.

NYS Arts The Alliance of New York State Arts Organizations. The Alliance informs the field on statewide and national issues affecting the arts and assists local arts agencies in building community support. This will be a total rework of their site.

NYS Arts Annual Gala The Alliance of New York State Arts Organizations has a 30-year history as New York's service association for community based arts and cultural organizations. The Alliance provides leadership and vision, and delivers services, resources and tools that strengthen cultural organizations.

HB Playwrights
Foundation and Theatre
1965 Herbert Berghof and Uta Hagen realized
their dream of establishing a theatre. The HB Playwrights Foundation & Theatre
and its sister organization, the HB Studio, were intended to serve as a creative
home for theatre artists. Their joint
existence has had a far-reaching impact on the theatre community. For over fifty
years, the Studio has offered the finest training to actors and other theatre
artists.

Theatre Development Fund is the largest not-for-profit service
organization for the performing arts in the country. Since its inception in 1968,
TDF's remarkable record encompasses more than 63 million theatre seats filled;
subsidy support given to more than 700 plays including 26 Pulitzer Prize honorees;
and more than 1.1 billion dollars in revenue returned to theatre, dance and music
organization.

Play by Play Online
Written by and for high
school students Play by Play is TDF’s student theatre newsletter. It features
reviews, stories, interviews with theatre artists as well as information about
student discounts and internship opportunities. It is published quarterly during
the school year and each May an additional insert gives students information
about opportunities to see theatre and/or become involved in the process throughout
the summer. In conjunction with each issue a Teachers' Guide is published and
made available online. Each guide includes exercises and teaching points for
the contents of that issue.
AMERICAPERFORMS.COM
The
Association of Performing Arts Service Organizations (APASO)
is a community of Arts organizations that has gathered annually for over 20 years
to share best-practices for Arts marketing, running Discount ticket programs
and booths and providing advocacy support and other much needed services to local
performing arts organizations in 22 U.S. States, 3 Canadian Provinces and 6 countries
currently.
